26th June 2016 Xaar Announces Major New Technology Platform

DesignEdge has joined forces with Xaar the leader in industrial inkjet technology, on the design of a demonstration printer platform to present its range of premium inkjet printheads and products. Xaar announced a number of exciting new developments to be launched at Drupa, the largest printing equipment exhibition in the world which is held every four years by Messe Düsseldorf. Working closely with Xaar engineering the DesignEdge team generated a range of concepts for a new printer which would integrate the latest inkjet technologies. Careful consideration was required on the assembly, construction and access using large scale panels. The aesthetics needed to reflect a technically advanced, functional and elegant product utilising quality materials and finishes aimed at the printing industry. Designed, developed and manufactured within an extremely compact time frame the printer platform was launched to considerable success.

1st March 2016 Inca Recruits DesignEdge to Maximize Productivity

Inca Digital industry leaders in the development and manufacture of inkjet printers have recruited DesignEdge to utilize its in-depth design knowledge combined with its awareness of the print industry and high volume manufacturing to develop their latest printer. The SpyderX is a large-format, rapid-throughput and high-resolution printer with a high-opacity white ink option to print directly onto display panels including foams, vinyl and plastics.

DesignEdge’s input was key to the platform’s success, customers have since commented on how great the product looks and how the ergonomics of the machine maximize their productivity. The revolutionary flatbed travels under the head carriage gantry whilst high precision linear drive motors transmit instantaneous power achieving utmost accuracy of drop placement.
