Racelogic, known for its in-car measurement technology, has launched an exciting new product called the DriftBox. For their first mass-market product, a meter for measuring drift angle in performance cars, Racelogic needed a great looking plastic enclosure at a competitive price. They lacked the experience however, to design plastic mouldings in-house and decided to use outside product design consultants DesignEdge. Racelogic has since been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise and has recently moved into purpose built UK headquarters.

Customers have since commented on how great the product looks, so we’re now in no doubt that using outside good designers with the right experience was the right thing to do.” Racelogic VBOX technology is now used by almost every car manufacturer and tyre company in the world for testing and DriftBox is the first vehicle performance meter with the ability to measure drift angle. Winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise is the highest honour which can be bestowed on a UK business; it is considered the equivalent of a ‘corporate knighthood!’
