Vapourtec has won the West Suffolk Award for Innovation, for the easy-HC10 disinfectant maker and sprayer at the recent Bury Free Press Business Awards. The award celebrates West Suffolk businesses who are actively investing in research and development and delivering innovative products and solutions within their sector. DesignEdge collaborated with Vapourtec to design the unique handheld sprayer which uses an electrochemical reaction to instantly convert mildly salty tap water into a powerful disinfectant which kills 99.9% of germs, bacteria and viruses, including Covid-19. The easy-HC10 means there is no need to buy, store and carry around traditional disinfectant or bleach making savings of 96% while the spray is safe to use on solid and fabric surfaces and around people and pets.

Our industrial designers created a fluidic and coherent aesthetic, the handheld disinfectant sprayer is ergonomic, portable and extremely convenient – ideally suited for public transport, offices, airports, leisure venues, hotels and restaurants. “We are delighted to be recognised in this way and it illustrates the innovation that has gone into the development of the easy-HC10 disinfectant maker and sprayer,” said Vapourtec MD Duncan Guthrie after accepting the award.
