What We Delivered
Objective Imaging specialise in digital pathology scanning solutions, high-speed microscope-based mosaic imaging and advanced automation controllers for micro-imaging and microscopy applications. The challenge was to design and develop the Glissando range of desktop slide scanners to provide a complete solution for medium to low capacity slide scanning with exceptional image quality and excellent price to performance. The design of the scanners needed to be compact, both easy to use and easy to implement and offer direct scanning to a variety of standard formats.
Result
The Glissando Desktop Scanners provide exceptional whole slide image fidelity in a compact, reliable system with a simple and effective user interface. All scanners offer direct scanning to a variety of standard WSI formats, ensuring compatibility with WSI viewers, advanced digital pathology solutions and image analysis packages, as well as advanced features such as multiple Z-stack scanning modes and configurable tissue detection. Objective Imaging is now building on that success with a number of new products to extend the Glissando’s best-in-class performance into new application situations.
