DesignEdge and Qualcomm collaborated to create innovative earbuds that showcase Qualcomm’s TrueWireless™ Stereo technology. Industrial design and new product architecture was implemented into a sports earbud with secure hold, designed to eliminate the need for wires and offer users a wire-free stereo audio experience.
Result
DesignEdge meticulously designed the sports earbuds to eliminate the need for wires while ensuring a comfortable fit. They achieved this by iteratively developing rapid 3D prototypes, refining user fit and addressing challenges related to ergonomics, aesthetics and comfort within an extremely compact form factor. Their unveiling at CES in Las Vegas garnered positive recognition in the market.

The unique design uses an interchangeable ear-hook and bud system to provide secure hold for sporting activities. The removable neckband is soft, flexible and lightweight, shaped for comfortable, all-day wearing. The system is designed to reduce power consumption by up to 65 percent for voice and music streaming while delivering superior acoustic qualities. The CES unveiling marked a significant milestone, and the positive recognition in the market speaks volumes about the quality of these headsets.
